CYCLE WITH DIGNITY
The Cycle with Dignity project is a direct response to the needs of girls in Njoro, Kenya who suffer stigma, humiliation and despair every month when they don’t have access to menstrual products due to poverty.
Approximately 50% of school age girls in Kenya do not have access to menstrual products
The Potter's House CBO is reducing period poverty by providing reusable sanitary pads to girls in local schools. The pads are made by local women using locally sourced materials. Before pads are given out, the girls and boys are educated about menstrual health and hygiene. Each girl is given a pack of 6 pads, a wet bag and a carry bag.
